Description

My research explores the effectiveness of gamification and game-based learning for improving teaching effectiveness and increasing student learning. Gamification is the concept of applying elements and principles of game design, such as narrative, challenge and reward, in a non-game context while gamebased learning uses challenges with defined learning outcomes as a means of teaching students important concepts. The rationale for this proposal stems from my desire to solve the problem of how to get students to read.
