Abstract

This project explores the effect of use of force by law enforcement on its localized region. The project consists of quantitative research using data from the Uniform Crime Report reported at the city- and county-level. In addition, researcher-collected survey data are used to analyze public opinion of police. This research tests the "Ferguson Effect," and is guided by Critical Race Theory.
