Two very important lectures in the field of Home Economics took place in January. One was at the Worcester Girls’ Trade School in Worcester, where Dr. E. V. McCollum of Johns Hopkins University spoke on “Nutrition and Its Newest Phase”, under the auspices of the Worcester County Home Economics Association. At the New England Home Economics Association held at Simmons College, Richard Waldo, editor and president of the McClure Newspaper Syndicate spoke of “Woman, at Builder or Breaker".
