Distinguished faculty reception honoring Dr. Ben Alberti, Professor John Anderson, Dr. Lisa Eck, and Dr. Pat Luoto.

Dr. Ben Alberti, Department of Sociology
for excellence in scholarship/creative activity
Dr. Alberti is an internationally recognized scholar of archaeological theory and masculinity studies. In 2011, he received a Fulbright Teaching and Scholarship award to teach and conduct research in Cordoba, Argentina.

Professor John Anderson, Department of Art and Music
for excellence in advising/mentoring
Professor Anderson has challenged himself to grow and develop in his craft in order to share the fruits of his development with his students. In 2010, he offered an "Art & Motion" course where students learned to create stop-motion animated films, and he created a website for student work.

Dr. Lisa Eck, Department of English
for excellence in teaching
Dr. Eck is an extraordinarily inventive teacher who channels her passion for reading and discussion into every course. In 2012, she took students to India where she arranged for them to meet with Indian authors, yogis, and scholars. She was awarded a Fulbright Specialist Grant for a project in China.

Dr. Pat Luoto, Department of Food and Nutrition
for excellence in professional service
Dr. Luoto is a professor and the former director of the John C. Stalker Institute of Food and Nutrition. She is a pioneer in the use of instructional technologies and has developed several distance education programs with Professor Janet Schwartz, including FSU's online master's degree in Nutritional Education.
